We’ve been coming to these beaches our whole lives. Zac grew up visiting his grandparents’ place at Indian Beach, and Hannah spent her childhood summers and holidays right on the island in Pine Knoll Shores, with family nearby in Newport. For both of us, Carteret County isn’t just a place, it’s where we feel most at peace.
As we built our careers in the Triangle, we stayed weekend warriors… loading up the car on Fridays and chasing salt air all the way to the coast. Some of our favorite memories as a couple were made right here. This place has shaped our lives, our marriage, and our priorities.
After years in the corporate world, chasing deadlines and sitting through one Teams call after another, we realized we were missing the point. We wanted something simpler. Something honest. Something local.
So, we made a change.
We traded in the stress of office life for the satisfaction of doing real work with real impact … right here at Bogue Banks. We launched Bogue Shine Co. not because we had to, but because we chose to. We wanted to serve our community, set our own standard for quality, and build a life with a little more sunshine and a lot more purpose.
When you hire us, you get us, not a rotating crew! We show up, we pay attention, and we leave your home or rental shining. From historic Beaufort cottages to vacation rentals on the islands, we clean with intention and care, because this is our home too.
